TRIGGER AND EGG COLLECTION
Before egg collection, a trigger injection is given to mimic ovulation so that 36 hours later an egg collection can take place. Recently clinical trials have shown that following this protocol significantly effects egg quality and maturation. [MM2]
POST EGG COLLECTION
Just after egg collection a treatment is given with the goal to help reduce swelling and bloating. It is though that this treatment focuses the energy flow to the abdomen, speeds up the healing process and prepares your body for embryo transfer.
PRE AND POST EMBRYO TRANSFER
Two treatments take place before and after the transfer on the same day. The first treatment aims bring on blood flow and qi to the uterus and the second treatment encourages relaxation and hopes to misimise any discomfort. Having the treatments as close to the transfer time as possible is recommended which is why we offer a range of early morning appointments at the clinic. It is also possible to have treatment the evening prior to transfer if you can’t make it on the day.
The next step is a treatment approximately 4 -7 days after transfer to support implantation. It is hoped this treatment encourages healthy uterine lining and lower stress hormones to ensure a health pregnancy.
